Peanut Butter Pumpkin Dog Cookies that Rock!

Yield: 12 treats

cooking time: 30 minutes

What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In your mixing bowl, combine egg, pumpkin and peanut butter. Once ingredients are mixed thoroughly, add flour and cinnamon
  3. mix in flour with spoon until well incorporated, then dump onto a floured surface and knead the dough until it forms into a ball.
  4. roll out dough to approximately a half inch thick and cut with cookie cutter
  5. bake treats for half an hour or until hard

Tips and tricks:

Always use natural Peanut butter! I like to use the Teddy or snickers brand because they only contain ground peanuts. NEVER use peanut butters with xylitol as it is poisonous to dogs.

To avoid air bubbles, make sure your oven is preheated fully. you can also poke holes with a toothpick to avoid any air bubbles.

Treats will last about a week in the fridge, however if you want to make them last longer you can dehydrate them by lowering the temperature to 200 degrees (after the initial 30 minutes at 350) and continue to cook them or 2 hours. If you choose to dehydrate them they should last a few months and do not require refrigeration.
